Job Summary

The IT System Administrator will oversee the management, upkeep, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes physical and virtual servers, network systems, Microsoft 365 platforms, cybersecurity solutions, and providing end-user support. The role aims to guarantee IT systems' availability, optimal performance, security, and reliability by proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and consistently enhancing the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and manage Windows Server environments effectively.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V, including the deployment and optimization of virtual machines.
• Oversee server resources like CPU, memory, storage capacity, and system performance while ensuring lifecycle management including patching and upgrades.
• Manage core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
• Monitor server health, availability, capacity, and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPNs, managing switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues and enforce network security protocols including segmentation and access controls.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
• Manage user accounts, licenses, permissions, and security policies like Conditional Access and Multi-Factor Authentication within Microsoft 365.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support addressing infrastructure and end-user device issues across servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Implement cybersecurity measures, manage endpoint protection solutions, and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and generate reports on IT system status and security compliance.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience managing system administration, networking, and IT infrastructure support.
• Expertise with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Proficient in administering Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experienced in managing enterprise-level network infrastructure and security technologies.
• Strong technical knowledge in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and virtual machine management.
• Competence in TCP/IP networking, VLANs, VPN technologies, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
• Advanced skills in backup and disaster recovery methods and Windows 10/11 support.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
