Role overview

ESFM is hiring full-time janitors to help maintain clean, orderly, and safe facilities at the Martinsburg, WV site. This position focuses on routine and heavy-duty cleaning work across assigned areas, with attention to sanitation and workplace standards.

Work location and schedule

The role is based at GM, 608 Caperton Boulevard, Martinsburg, WV 25401. Applications are accepted online only. The schedule is full time, Monday through Friday, from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, with additional details shared during the interview.

What you will do

You will be responsible for keeping the building clean and organized, including heavier cleaning tasks such as floor care, rug shampooing, wall and glass cleaning, and trash removal. The job also involves maintaining sanitation standards and supporting a safe environment for occupants.

• Remove trash and dispose of it according to approved procedures and infection-control guidelines.
• Dust and damp mop floors using the required methods.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for proper cleaning, then return items to their original place.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, including sanitizing surfaces and following the eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to support a clean and safe space.
• Identify areas that need attention and take initiative to complete cleaning tasks.
• Complete all work assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets when required.
• Work cooperatively with the team and maintain professional conduct with customers, coworkers, and others.
• Carry out additional duties as needed.

Experience and requirements

Prior janitorial or factory experience is preferred. Candidates should be able to carry out the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Certain roles may also require Florida Level 2 background screening.

Pay and benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.02 to $23.29 per hour.
