Java Selenium Test Lead

About the Role

HCL Technologies, a global technology leader, is seeking a Java Selenium Test Lead based in Bengaluru. This role requires strong expertise in selenium and Java, with experience ranging from 9 to 14 years, and an immediate joining availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, designing, and execution of test phases using selenium and Java for software projects.
• Create and implement automation scripts aimed at improving testing effectiveness and precision.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to gather testing needs and ensure these align with project timelines.
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and suggest corrective actions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testers on best practices in selenium and Java testing.
• Track and communicate testing progress, challenges, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of new developments and industry standards in selenium and Java test automation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive knowledge of selenium automation testing frameworks.
• Strong programming capabilities in Java tailored for test automation purposes.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing selenium test scripts.
• Good understanding of software testing approaches and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and version control tools.
• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Certifications

• Selenium WebDriver Certification.
• Java SE Programmer Certification.

Good-to-Have Additional Skills

• API Testing expertise.
• CI/CD operations understanding.
• Functional Testing experience.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should hold a graduation degree such as B.Tech or B.E. in any engineering specialization or any other graduate degree.
