Junior Frontend Developer

Role overview

We are recruiting for a Haystack partner for a junior frontend development position based in Frankfurt, Hesse. The role sits within an interdisciplinary team and focuses on e-commerce and Shopify migration work.

What you will do

• Create modern, fast, and mobile-friendly frontend experiences for e-commerce websites and platforms.
• Contribute to Shopify migration and platform initiatives in a cross-functional team.
• Extend Shopify capabilities by building or integrating suitable apps to improve the customer journey.
• Use current technologies such as TypeScript and widely used frontend frameworks to deliver polished digital products.
• Assist with backend-related work, including database design, data migration activities, and middleware integrations.

What you need

• A university degree in Business Informatics, Data Engineering, Industrial Engineering, User Experience Design, or a similar subject area.
• Some hands-on exposure to software development through professional work, internships, working student roles, or personal projects.
• Strong frontend orientation with solid knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern React-based frameworks.
• A well-organized, self-driven way of working, combined with high quality expectations and an eagerness to learn.
• Good communication skills, a team-first attitude, and comfort speaking directly with customers.
• Very strong German skills at C1/C2 level and good English proficiency.
