Role Overview
The position of Key User Payroll (m/f/d), appointed temporarily until 31 August 2028, involves analyzing and executing payroll tax assessments and managing payroll and time management processes. The role ensures accurate and lawful incorporation of operational, collective bargaining, and statutory changes into payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of implementing new requirements within SAP HCM.
- Conduct monthly and annual payroll closing procedures.
- Provide expert assistance for system or process adjustments and analyze complex payroll concerns or exceptional cases.
- Address special payroll topics and participate in projects, especially related to digitalization efforts.
- Guarantee compliance with legal regulations and internal policies regarding payroll tax, collaborating closely with Compliance and Legal departments.
- Work alongside internal teams, production locations, and external collection agencies.
- Generate tailored reports and statistical data as needed.
- Manage testing activities and documentation for payroll processes.
- Support and assist during tax and social security audits.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completed commercial training with supplementary qualifications, such as tax clerk training, or completion of a dual degree focusing on HR or tax law.
- Several years of solid practical experience in payroll accounting.
- Preferably familiar with collective bargaining agreements in the metal and electrical industries.
- Strong understanding of reporting procedures along with current knowledge of social security and payroll tax legislation.
- Advanced skills in SAP as a key user, particularly in payroll and time management modules.
- Proficient with standard MS Office tools.
- Good command of English is required; business-fluent English is considered an advantage.
