Position Overview
As a Lifeguard, you will monitor swimmers and the pool environment for safety, applying appropriate rescue techniques when assistance is needed. You'll be responsible for enforcing facility rules and regulations, identifying unsafe or unusual conditions, and alerting supervisors regarding guests who can't safely engage in activities. Providing aid to injured individuals until emergency medical responders arrive is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, fun, and relaxing atmosphere for pool guests.
- Manage towels by collecting, folding, and stacking according to company procedures.
- Keep the pool deck clean by washing, mopping, and tidying the area.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management promptly.
- Complete all mandatory safety training and certifications.
- Adhere to company policies, protect assets, and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Welcome guests professionally, ensure a clean and neat appearance, and promptly attend to their needs, including assisting guests with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues alike.
- Support team members respectfully and maintain quality assurance standards.
- Perform routine visual inspections of tools, equipment, or machinery to detect defects.
- Be physically capable of standing, sitting, walking for entire shifts, moving objects up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with help, and navigating varied surfaces and elevations safely.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a valid UAE Lifeguard Certification.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
- Excellent swimming and rescue abilities.
- Proficient English communication skills.
- Preferably previous experience working in luxury hotels, resorts, or water parks.
