About the Role
BIBUS (UK) Ltd seeks a commercially-focused and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead and grow its UK operations based in Wooburn Green (HQ) and Durham. This role provides full profit and loss accountability for the UK business and requires a presence at both sites. The successful candidate will steer the strategic direction, oversee a streamlined high-performing team across two locations, and serve as the public representative of the company to the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for market growth, portfolio expansion, and identifying new revenue opportunities within a diverse industrial technology trading and systems solutions business.
- Lead the sales organization by building and motivating high-performing commercial teams and maintaining direct engagement with major clients.
- Manage and support Branch Managers, sales personnel, and functional leaders at both Wooburn Green and Durham sites.
- Maintain full financial accountability including profit and loss, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring excellence in supply chain, service, and delivery operations.
- Align local operations with the international group’s strategies and represent BIBUS UK in the marketplace.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience such as Managing Director, General Manager, Business Unit Leader, or Head of Sales with a proven record of growing industrial, technical or engineering businesses.
- Commercially savvy, sales-driven mindset with a history of developing and scaling customer engagements and business revenue.
- Preferred background in Mechatronics, Automation, Motion Control, Environmental Technology, or closely related industrial sectors.
- Experience with full P&L responsibility and strong skills in financial and strategic management.
- Proven ability to lead lean, multi-location teams within international or matrixed organizations.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on leadership style blending strategic vision with decisive execution capability.
