Job Overview

This role involves performing maintenance and support tasks on machinery to ensure continuous equipment availability and reliability. It requires the selection and use of appropriate tools and specialty equipment to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. The position demands adherence to safety protocols involving electricity and other energy sources in an industrial setting.

Primary Responsibilities

Adhere strictly to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies by halting work immediately upon identifying serious injury hazards and reporting any incidents or hazards promptly.
Use personal protective equipment properly and foster a culture of mutual care among team members.
Identify and correct hazards within personal capacity and minimize environmental impact through conscientious work practices.
Maintain high workmanship quality standards and actively participate in failure analysis to improve equipment uptime.
Execute maintenance tasks as per technical diagrams, operation manuals, and documentation, supporting preventive maintenance systems.
Ensure quality compliance by performing thorough inspections and adhering to documented processes, escalating issues that may affect cost or quality.
Conduct repairs and upkeep of manufacturing equipment, including preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
Keep the work area clean and organized through regular housekeeping and machine cleaning duties.
Schedule maintenance around production needs, resolve constraints, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Engage actively with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams to enhance safety, quality, process flow, and employee development.
Communicate effectively within the team and with supporting departments, committing to ongoing training and development aligned with organizational goals.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

Completion of secondary education or an equivalent qualification.
Potential licensing may be required to comply with export control or sanction regulations.

Experience and Skills

Intermediate level knowledge through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
Proficient with PLC, VFD, controller programming, and troubleshooting.
Ability to independently resolve equipment breakdowns.
Experience operating LT switchgear systems.
Familiarity with utility equipment such as hoists, cranes, PIV, HVAC, compressors, cooling towers, lighting, and air circulation devices.
Knowledge and application of root cause analysis methodologies including the 7-step process.
Competent in Microsoft Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
Customer-focused mindset and awareness of Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) standards.

Working Conditions and Additional Information

This role is 100% onsite within the Pune Division, Maharashtra.
A relocation package is provided as part of the employment offer.
The position is categorized as shop floor and requires physical presence due to the nature of job responsibilities.
