Role Overview
The Network Lead will spearhead the deployment and management of network infrastructure across TEPL’s IT environment, ensuring compliance and security throughout. You will oversee network operations, collaborate closely with plant teams, and lead the rollout of network and security solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement active network deployments and passive IT infrastructure on shop floors for new plant setups and line conversions, adhering to company standards for device security and hardening.
- Drive the creation of enterprise fiber backbone networks with redundancy and provision internet/WAN connections through ISPs.
- Support proof of concept activities for new networking technologies and solutions.
- Manage network operations by monitoring device connectivity and performance, troubleshooting issues, maintaining network hygiene, and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Ensure the network infrastructure complies with enterprise security controls, manage vulnerability remediation, maintain an updated inventory, and backup configurations to meet business continuity goals.
- Lead resolution of critical network incidents, conduct root cause analyses, manage change control processes, and enforce SLA adherence to prevent unauthorized changes.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including preparing spare hardware to meet recovery time objectives.
- Maintain accurate, version-controlled network documentation accessible to relevant teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Relevant professional certifications in networking preferred.
- 10 to 12 years of overall experience with at least 8 years focusing on networking technologies such as firewalls, switches, routers, LAN, proxies, and load balancers.
- Proven ability managing large-scale IT infrastructure; experience in manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
