The Opportunity

We're a fast-growing startup based in West Midtown Atlanta, currently with 20 employees, offering a vibrant office environment with skyline views, daily catering, and snacks. Since May, we've experienced over 400% growth. As part of our flat organizational structure, you'll collaborate closely with company leadership on long-term projects central to our founder's vision.

Role Overview

As a Product Designer at Sola, you will take full ownership of designing user interfaces across our ecosystem, including tools for agents, policyholder platforms, and internal applications. Collaborating tightly with product managers and engineers, you'll guide design from initial discovery through implementation, focusing on clarity, consistency, and sustainable quality.

Responsibilities

• Create intuitive and clear product interfaces for different user groups
• Design seamless end-to-end user flows from concepts to implementation
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
• Utilize research, user feedback, and product metrics to continuously improve design solutions
• Develop and enhance Sola's design system and shared user interface patterns
• Maintain high standards of visual, interaction design, and overall usability

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have at least three years of in-house product design experience with successful product launches. They will present a portfolio that highlights strong product understanding and the ability to simplify complex systems. Candidates should be adept at working from high-level design concepts down to detailed interactions, employing a structured, research-driven design approach with clear justification.

Key Qualifications

• Experience designing complex, data-focused products involving multiple user roles
• Contributions to or ownership of scalable design systems across diverse product interfaces
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers to ensure designs are feasible and maintain visual consistency
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design best practices
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools like Figma or equivalents
• Hands-on experience with prototype creation using coding or code-related tools such as Cursor, Framer, or React to validate intricate interaction designs
