Production Manager

Role overview

ALEXIS is looking for a highly organized and solution-oriented Production Manager to lead the execution of its production workflow from early development through bulk delivery. Based in Miami, this full-time onsite position focuses on keeping every collection on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the brand’s quality expectations.

In this role, you will work closely with Design, Technical Design, Product Development, logistics teams, and manufacturing partners around the world to manage timelines, coordinate approvals, solve production issues, and keep seasonal calendars moving smoothly. The right person will bring strong ownership, urgency, and attention to detail to a fast-moving environment.

Production management

• Own seasonal production calendars from development stages through bulk manufacturing.
• Track production milestones and make sure delivery targets are achieved.
• Review WIP updates and flag possible delays or risks early.
• Coordinate PP and TOP sample approvals.
• Work with Technical Design and Product Development to confirm styles are ready for production.

Vendor and factory coordination

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with domestic and overseas factories, mills, and suppliers.
• Stay in daily contact with manufacturing partners to follow production progress and resolve issues quickly.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and manufacturing solutions while protecting quality standards.
• Assess factory performance and raise concerns when needed.

Purchasing and material tracking

• Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, trims, and production parts.
• Track incoming materials and ensure they reach manufacturing partners on time.
• Check invoices, shipping paperwork, and purchase orders for correctness.
• Keep production records and supporting documentation accurate and organized.

Logistics and delivery support

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with logistics teams.
• Monitor freight schedules and delivery timelines to support seasonal launches.
• Help resolve freight, customs, and delivery issues as they arise.
• Maintain clear trackers, calendars, and reporting tools for production.

Quality and process improvement

• Partner with Quality Control to address workmanship and production quality issues.
• Look for ways to improve efficiency, communication, and operational flow.
• Ensure all work supports ALEXIS quality standards and business goals.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of production management experience in contemporary or luxury fashion, along with strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing, garment construction, sourcing, and production processes. Experience working with overseas factories and global vendors is important. You should be highly organized, able to juggle multiple collections and deadlines, and confident in negotiation, communication, and problem-solving.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, and experience with ERP or PLM systems is considered an advantage. This position suits someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
