About International Microbiome and Multi-Omics Standards Alliance (IMMSA)
IMMSA is a global nonprofit organization uniting academic, industrial, and government researchers to enhance the quality, reproducibility, and standardization of microbiome and multi-omics studies worldwide.
Position Overview
We seek an organized and proactive Program Coordinator to manage daily operations of our expanding international nonprofit. This part-time remote opportunity suits someone who thrives in coordinating individuals and projects collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate quarterly scientific webinars.
- Arrange quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
- Compose monthly email communications and newsletters.
- Provide support to industry sponsors.
- Assist in organizing annual workshops.
- Maintain the IMMSA website, social media channels, and general online presence.
- Oversee activities of IMMSA working groups and committees.
- Coordinate teams working on manuscript development.
- Help prepare and submit grant proposals.
- Manage organizational finances, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills, robust organization and project management abilities, and can independently manage several priorities simultaneously. Comfort working with scientists, industry leaders, and nonprofit collaborators is essential. Experience related to scientific organizations, nonprofit administration, grant processing, or event planning is highly valued.
Compensation and Additional Information
Compensation will reflect experience. This role is part-time and does not include benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid leave.
