Role Overview
The Program Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Harare. This position entails managing and coordinating several projects and programs within Job Connect. Key responsibilities include defining project scopes, establishing timelines and milestones, and ensuring goals align with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. The role demands overseeing resource allocation, monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective measures to maintain adherence to budgets and schedules.
The daily duties involve collaborating with various functional teams, facilitating status meetings, preparing comprehensive reports, and sustaining robust communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Continuous enhancement of processes, documentation of project deliverables and outcomes, as well as compliance with company policies and quality standards, are essential components of this position.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in project coordination and management across multiple programs.
- Experience with expediting activities, including hands-on knowledge as an expeditor and familiarity with expediting workflows.
- Understanding of quality assurance and compliance mechanisms, including inspections and control procedures.
- Competence in logistics management covering planning, scheduling, and resource tracking.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong leadership abilities in managing cross-functional teams and handling stakeholder communication both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail and effective prioritization of tasks.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies; knowledge of recruitment or HR technology platforms is advantageous.
