Job Overview
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the planning, coordination, and successful execution of customer projects and logistics activities within Germany. This position involves close collaboration with Project Managers, Operations teams, Sales, international offices, and customers to ensure projects meet customer expectations and align with Crane Worldwide’s operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning customer projects from start to finish, including preparing project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Track project milestones and follow up on pending tasks to guarantee timely progress.
- Maintain and manage accurate project documentation and files.
- Organize and coordinate meetings internally and externally, distributing minutes as required.
- Support Project Managers with reporting, tracking deliverables, and maintaining communication with customers.
- Facilitate customer onboarding and implementation activities.
- Manage shipment creation and processing accurately within the company’s operating system (TMF), ensuring data is complete and maintained throughout shipment lifecycle.
- Carry out operational activities in compliance with company procedures and customer requirements, collaborating with Operations, Warehousing, Customs, Carriers, and overseas offices to ensure seamless transport execution.
- Monitor shipment statuses and communicate updates proactively to internal teams and customers.
- Identify and escalate operational challenges, delays, or exceptions to reduce customer impact.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned customer projects, responding promptly to inquiries and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute towards meeting operational KPIs including shipment quality, data accuracy, productivity, and service performance.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for operational improvements and support implementation of enhanced procedures and best practices.
- Maintain project and financial records, support invoice validations, and assist with billing processes.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience with coordinating shipments, customer projects, or operational initiatives is desirable.
- Good knowledge of international freight forwarding and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding operating systems; TMF experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred educational background: Certificate or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related discipline.
