Project Director - Luxury Hotel Development

Role Overview

A prominent organization is looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to steer the successful execution and delivery of expansive building and hospitality projects. The appointed professional will oversee every stage of project management, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and superior quality standards.

Primary Duties

• Lead all aspects of project planning, coordination, execution, and final delivery phases.
• Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and resource distribution to promote cost-efficiency and on-time project completion.
• Supervise design, engineering, construction, quality control, health and safety protocols, and risk management processes.
• Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, contractual obligations, and organizational standards.
• Oversee collaborations with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop and sustain robust relationships with clients and stakeholders, promoting project performance improvements and value engineering strategies.
• Leverage ERP tools, preferably SAP, for project controls, financial oversight, and progress reporting.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight to project teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
• At least 20 years of professional experience with a minimum of 10 years in senior project leadership or director roles.
• Subsantial proven expertise in managing and delivering large-scale construction projects, particularly multi-million-dollar building and hotel developments.
• Extensive knowledge and experience within hotel and hospitality construction sectors is mandatory.
• Strong background in project management principles, construction practices, budgeting, cost control, contract management, and risk mitigation.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, with preference for SAP proficiency.
• PMP certification is advantageous.
• Experience working within GCC countries is preferred.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
