Stellenbeschreibung
About the Role
The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is undertaking a significant Digital Services transformation aimed at creating a future operating model and transitioning to new Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) partnerships. This project lead position is integral to delivering this vital, deadline-driven program.
This role demands strong organizational skills to manage the internal Steering Group, support multiple workstreams, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure timely progression of key project activities, decisions, and deliverables. Responsibilities span the entire program lifecycle—from operating model creation and procurement readiness through market engagement, transition, and final implementation—all supported by solid governance, communication, and change management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and organize daily delivery tasks for the QAS Digital Services operating model and sourcing project, including creating project plans, tracking timelines, reporting progress, and managing risks and issues to deliver agreed outcomes promptly.
- Facilitate efficient project governance by organizing Steering Group meetings, preparing progress reports, documenting decisions, and maintaining essential project records.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external consultants to manage inputs and deliverables across various workstreams such as operating model design, procurement, service design, requirements gathering, and transition.
- Drive change management initiatives, communication strategies, and readiness activities to ensure smooth adoption of the new Digital Services operating model and successful launch of MSP/MSSP arrangements.
- Create and manage vital project artifacts including detailed plans, action logs, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) logs, meeting materials, status reports, and implementation documentation.
- Support the formulation of the future-state Digital Services operating model by validating current-state processes, gathering requirements, designing services, and defining retained responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
While there are no compulsory qualifications, candidates with qualifications related to project management or digital services and 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing complex projects will be strongly preferred.
