Project Manager

Project Overview

The Project Manager serves as the main liaison among Takamul, CLIENT, contractors, and consultants, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for setting project scope, goals, and deliverables together with stakeholders, establishing governance and communication frameworks, and addressing constraints and risk mitigation strategies.

Design Phase

• Oversee the overall progress and outputs of the design stage.
• Coordinate design packages aligning with the project execution plan.
• Identify required deliverables necessary for procurement in later construction stages.
• Collaborate with the head office on budget updates.
• Facilitate design review and value engineering workshops.
• Ensure timely resolution of design-related queries and modifications.
• Manage scope adherence and enforce change procedures with CLIENT internal departments.

Bidding and Procurement

• Develop tender strategies and oversee preparation of tender documents including drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Manage contractor and vendor prequalification processes.
• Coordinate tendering activities, clarifications, and contract awards.
• Assist in bid evaluations with Takamul head office and CLIENT commercial teams.
• Participate in contract negotiations and make award recommendations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with project timelines and budgets.

Construction Stage

• Lead site mobilization, construction operations, and monitor contractor performance.
• Chair regular site and progress meetings, documenting and following up on all action items.
• Coordinate with supervision consultants, contractors, utility services, and regulatory authorities.
• Supervise construction progress, quality control, safety adherence, and conformity to designs and contracts.
• Review and approve method statements, inspection and shop drawings, and material submissions.
• Manage change orders, site instructions, and non-conformance reports efficiently.
• Resolve construction-related issues and disputes in a timely manner.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Control

• Track critical project performance indicators including scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and risk.
• Handle project risks, issues, and change management through structured processes.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, contractual, and safety obligations.
• Prepare and present periodic progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management

• Guide and assign responsibilities within the project team, setting performance expectations.
• Maintain proactive communications with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal CLIENT departments.
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships to support project alignment and cooperation.
• Address conflicts and remove barriers to project success.

Project Close-Out and Handover

• Oversee the final project phases including inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure completion and delivery of all project documentation such as as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and training materials.
• Manage formal project handover to CLIENT operations and support post-handover issues as needed.
• Conduct close-out meetings and capture lessons learned to improve future projects.
