Project Manager

Job Overview

As a Project Manager at Emerson based in Noida, you will lead and coordinate projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal processes while driving project efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify that new orders conform to quoted terms and report any discrepancies to the Sales team for correction.
• Organize and conduct internal project kick-off meetings to clarify customer expectations for all relevant teams.
• Develop organizational charts for new projects and lead teams during customer kick-off meetings.
• Ensure that approved specifications and documentation are properly shared with the Operations team to facilitate order execution.
• Monitor specification changes, communicate updates to stakeholders, and ensure timely implementation.
• Provide regular project summaries and status updates to management and stakeholders.
• Review project progress at key milestones, document discussions, and distribute meeting minutes.
• Strive for zero late deliveries (LDs) on all projects.
• Drive initiatives to improve gross profit through cost reduction strategies, streamlined designs, effective engineering, and managing change orders.
• Maintain cash flow by preparing and submitting invoices with all necessary documentation in advance.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and prioritize future opportunities.
• Proactively manage legal aspects of projects such as trade compliance, shipment formalities, permanent establishment costs, visas, and wage regulations.
• Develop Lessons, Best Practices (LBPs) for efficient, independent project execution.
• Ensure comprehensive project closure with detailed handover reports, documentation of lessons learned, and enhancement of company reference libraries.
• Be prepared for short or long-term business travel and deputations as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong presentation skills with ability to address queries from managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, verify facts, and reach sound conclusions.
• Willingness to undertake travel assignments.
• Comprehensive understanding of shipment terms.
• Technical expertise with Ovation hardware and procurement components.

Preferred Credentials

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.) specializing in ECE, EEE, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Mechanical disciplines.
• Project Management experience with at least five completed projects as a project lead.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or an MBA are favorable.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
