QA/QC Engineer

Role overview

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities on Oil & Gas projects in Doha. The role focuses on making sure materials, fabrication, welding, piping, and mechanical works comply with approved standards, client requirements, and applicable international codes. It also involves inspection follow-up, documentation control, NDT coordination, NCR handling, and overall quality compliance during project execution.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgical Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience working as a QA/QC Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector.
• A valid NDT Level II certification is needed, with RT, UT, MT, or PT preferred.
• Solid understanding of QA/QC methods, welding inspection, material checks, and fabrication standards is expected.
• Working knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO standards is required.
• Experience in preparing ITPs, reviewing WPS/PQR, managing NCRs, and maintaining quality records is important.
• The candidate should be able to coordinate inspections with clients and third-party inspectors.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect piping, structural, mechanical, and fabrication activities on site.
• Check material certificates, welding documentation, and NDT records for compliance.
• Verify that work is carried out according to project specifications and approved procedures.
• Issue NCRs when required and track the completion of corrective actions.
• Prepare and update QA/QC reports and final handover dossiers.
• Work closely with site teams, clients, and inspectors throughout project execution.

This is a contract position based onsite in Doha, Qatar. The role is for Oil & Gas projects and requires experience with inspections, documentation, NDT coordination, and quality compliance.
