Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Manager in fulfilling contract quality objectives and uphold the company's quality vision, goals, and strategies.
  • Identify and assist in creating quality-related contractual and corporate deliverables.
  • Ensure enforcement and verification of contractual quality requirements and collaborate with commercial and procurement teams to integrate quality needs into purchase orders and contracts.
  • Review, endorse, and monitor vendor and contractor deliverables including subcontractor documentation and inspection/test plans.
  • Assist with the implementation of project procedures and processes, monitoring contractors' quality documentation for specification compliance.
  • Plan and carry out quality audits and assessments of vendors, contractors, and their subcontractors, including internal audits at critical work delivery stages.
  • Raise and manage non-conformances, support their resolution, and provide reports with documented evidence and recommendations.
  • Examine project deliverables to confirm incorporation of quality requirements such as work and test packs.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports with managed KPI data.
  • Supervise communications contractors and their installation works.
  • Ensure all documentation and certification are complete and verified before final handover.
  • Utilize Autodesk BIM360 to manage quality-related issues.
  • Participate in Quality & Construction Whiteboard meetings and weekly sessions.
  • Chair quality meetings, record minutes, and distribute them to the project team.
  • Assist with establishing benchmarks and contribute to the implementation of quality processes and procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience on large multidisciplinary projects.
  • Minimum of 10 years inspecting and surveilling vendors and subcontractors on client behalf, particularly for pipework, electrical, mechanical, and structural steelwork.
  • Practical experience with mechanical equipment, welding, testing, and CE marking.
  • Familiarity with usage of work packs and test packs.
  • Preservation activities experience is advantageous.
  • Exposure to modular build processes is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on approach emphasizing "Right first Time" quality assurance philosophy.
  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Experience or familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, or CSA site work fields is beneficial.
