About the Role
This permanent, full-time position is based in Wellington, New Zealand. As a Resourcing Advisor, you will be integral in managing and delivering the current resourcing system, providing expert operational advice to the schooling sector. Your role will encompass analyzing data to facilitate effective planning and decision-making, alongside supporting various projects focused on developing high-quality tools, processes, and systems for the Ministry and the wider education sector. This position offers the chance to impact the educational outcomes of young people by ensuring schools receive appropriate funding.
Key Duties
- Deliver and manage the existing resourcing framework and provide operational guidance across schools.
- Contribute to analytical efforts that underpin planning and decision-making processes.
- Support project initiatives aimed at enhancing tools, procedures, and systems within the Ministry and education sector.
Candidate Profile
We seek an individual who can efficiently juggle multiple tasks and projects while working at a fast pace. Taking initiative and producing consistently high-caliber written and verbal communication are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience in education or finance fields would be highly advantageous. Integrity and adherence to Public Service Standards of conduct are mandatory.
About the Team
The Resourcing Group manages operational funding and staffing entitlements for nearly 2,500 schools, overseeing payments totaling about $5.8 billion annually. The team supports schools and Boards of Trustees with sound financial advice, ensures correct funding through monitoring programs, and provides policy guidance along with customized solutions for resourcing challenges.
Additional Information
Salary ranges between NZD 65,801 and NZD 79,195 annually, plus KiwiSaver contributions. The exact salary will be based on experience and skills.
