Role Overview - Security Operations Analyst

As a Security Operations Analyst, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities designed to enhance and safeguard our security posture. Your duties include maintaining expert-level knowledge of security technologies, managing and analyzing security incidents and trends, ensuring accuracy and completeness in security operations documentation and tools, and coordinating incident response activities collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date expertise on security technologies while improving processes, documentation, and system capabilities.
• Handle security tickets, perform triage of alerts, and conduct detailed analysis of security incidents, emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and patterns.
• Ensure security tools, asset inventories, procedures, and Security Operations Center (SOC) documentation are comprehensive and accurate.
• Lead or assist with incident management, including coordination, post-incident evaluations, and forensic investigations alongside internal teams and third-party partners.
• Develop and present security metrics, analytical reports, and recommendations to enhance detection, response, and vulnerability management frameworks.
• Support and contribute to SOC operational enhancements, process standardization, tooling decisions, and broader cybersecurity planning and validation efforts.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 4 years of substantive enterprise cybersecurity experience spanning both cloud and on-premises environments, grounded in networking, operating systems, and security engineering principles.
• Proven expertise in Security Operations, with hands-on experience in incident response, forensic investigations, vulnerability assessments, and familiarity with contemporary attack methodologies.
• Excellent communication abilities enabling effective teamwork and delivery of high-quality, process-oriented outcomes within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong aptitude for quick learning, self-motivation, and thriving in fast-paced operational settings.
• Ability to analyze complex scenarios, weigh risks, draw logical conclusions, and advise on sound security measures.
• Possession of a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience; certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or cloud platform certifications (Azure, AWS) are highly regarded.
