Senior Engineer (f/m/d) Application Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven Senior Engineer to join the Application Engineering team within the Automotive Digital Products Marketing Division based in Düsseldorf. The role involves strengthening the support and development of hardware solutions specifically for Renesas' 32-bit Automotive Microcontrollers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware solutions related to Renesas 32-bit automotive microcontrollers.
• Participate actively in defining and planning new product introductions.
• Gather, specify, and track customer and market requirements concerning hardware.
• Define future hardware specifications for microcontroller products and collaborate closely with development teams.
• Ensure integration between hardware solutions and corresponding software requirements and tooling.
• Coordinate with internal marketing teams to define and launch Renesas solution offerings.
• Offer technical assistance internally and externally for Renesas products.
• Develop and deliver supporting documentation such as collateral materials, application notes, and training sessions.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination with Renesas headquarters.

Candidate Qualifications

• A degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
• Solid foundational knowledge of embedded microcontrollers.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in German is preferred.
• Experience with MCU architectures, preferably ARM-based.
• Programming skills in embedded microcontrollers using C or C++.
• Capability in product definition and requirements management.
• Experience handling complex technical requests for quotations collaboratively with key customers.
• Comfortable conducting customer negotiations.
• Must possess a valid residence and work permit for Germany or another EU country.
• Regular in-office presence in Düsseldorf is required for team collaboration.
