Job Summary

The Finance team at Azurity seeks a proactive Analyst to join the BP&A Operations team. This role involves close collaboration with US-based stakeholders to provide insights into Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Supply Chain, Technical Operations, and Quality Control performance within a dynamic and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation of the annual operating plan, including budgeting for Operating Expenses and Inventory Purchases.
• Maintain and update monthly and quarterly Operating Expense forecasts, tracking personnel rosters for senior executives under the Chief Operating Officer.
• Deliver detailed variance analyses (Actual vs Budget/Forecast) on a monthly and quarterly basis, quantifying key drivers and offering actionable recommendations.
• Support monthly closing activities in partnership with US BP&A teams, including coordination with Supply Chain, Technical Operations, and Quality Control to ensure accurate accruals and prepayments and document significant expense fluctuations.
• Analyze inventory movements to confirm alignment with procurement cycles and sales forecasts regularly.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as Days Inventory On Hand, Excess & Obsolescence, Operating Expenses, and Standard Cost per Unit, providing performance insights to business partners.
• Examine standard cost variances including finished goods pricing, material rate differences, foreign exchange impacts, and sales mix to identify underlying causes and trends.
• Assist in developing financial models for budgeting and forecasting that incorporate sales volumes, standard costs, and inventory purchasing plans.
• Update and maintain standard costing and COGS calculations within Oracle, reflecting product bill of materials and cost assumptions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to understand production, procurement, and inventory trends.
• Enhance financial visibility in Sales and Operations Planning by analyzing inventory risks such as obsolescence and excess, and evaluating forecast fluctuations to aid decision-making.
• Identify and correctly account for capital expenditure components in larger Technical Transfer contracts.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable and Procurement teams to track purchase orders and manage approval workflows.
• Participate in continuous improvement and automation projects across Operations BP&A, utilizing Excel, Large Language Models, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Power BI or similar data visualization platforms.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• CA qualification with at least 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical sector is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP and Workday platforms is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including automation techniques, alongside experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools.
