Role Overview
This position involves designing, building, and sustaining scalable data solutions leveraging the Snowflake platform. Responsibilities include creating and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines for data acquisition, refining SQL queries and stored procedures, and developing data warehouse and mart solutions with a focus on efficient data modeling and storage.
Main Duties
- Develop and maintain efficient Snowflake data solutions adaptable to business needs.
- Create robust ETL and ELT workflows for seamless data ingestion and transformation.
- Optimize and construct SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation processes.
- Design comprehensive data warehousing architectures and marts to meet organizational goals.
- Conduct data modeling ensuring quick and effective data retrieval and storage.
- Monitor and enhance performance, scalability, and cost aspects of Snowflake implementations.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and understand data requirements.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, governance, security, and compliance throughout processes.
- Identify and troubleshoot pipeline, performance, and reporting issues promptly.
- Provide support for production rollouts and ongoing maintenance activities.
Candidate Profile
- Between 2 to 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or ETL development roles.
- Proficient with Snowflake development and administration concepts.
- Strong expertise in SQL programming and query tuning.
- Experience implementing ETL/ELT development and data integration projects is essential.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and data modeling theories.
- Handled large data sets and cloud-based data environments successfully.
- Familiarity with tools like DBT, Python, AWS or Azure platforms will be advantageous.
- Knowledgeable in performance tuning and optimization methods.
- Possesses strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator capable of managing stakeholder expectations and interactions.
Eligibility
Candidates who are graduates in Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.), or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in any specialization are eligible to apply.
