Overview

The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Social Worker to join their team. The role involves supporting students' social, emotional, behavioural, and academic wellbeing while working closely with families, staff, and external agencies to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Services, or a related discipline.
• Possess at least two years of experience in youth-related social work, preferably within an educational environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building capabilities to engage effectively with students, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while maintaining accurate records.
• Passion for supporting student development and overcoming barriers to learning.
• Well organized, proactive, and compassionate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group social and emotional support for students.
• Contribute towards intervention and crisis response planning, including safeguarding matters.
• Promote and sustain positive partnerships between families and the school.
• Identify and address challenges to learning and student engagement.
• Ensure support systems are in place for students and families requiring assistance.
