About the Role
LHH Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a Kansas City-based organization to find a Supply Chain Director. This leadership role requires overseeing all supply chain activities at the site level within a manufacturing setting, ensuring effective, compliant, and reliable delivery of materials and services to support production and meet customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals, customer needs, and regulatory obligations.
- Lead demand planning, production scheduling, master scheduling, and capacity planning to maintain alignment with forecasts and delivery targets.
- Manage inventory through optimization, cycle counts, physical audits, and the handling of excess or obsolete stock.
- Supervise procurement and supplier relationships, including sourcing, negotiations, performance evaluation, and ensuring supply continuity.
- Oversee warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, and transportation operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive the utilization and enhancement of ERP systems, preferably SAP, to maintain accurate data, effective planning, and transparency of performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, safety protocols, and regulatory standards such as OSHA.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve cost efficiency, service quality, lead time reduction, and supply reliability.
- Develop and manage high-performing supply chain teams through recruitment, training, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Represent the supply chain function in cross-functional projects, customer interactions, product commercialization, and business reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related disciplines is required.
- At least 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, including a minimum of 7 years in leadership roles.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing environments overseeing comprehensive supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in demand planning, scheduling, procurement, inventory control, and logistics.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, with strong preference for SAP expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and effect change in regulated environments.
- Strong skills in analytics, negotiation, communication, and managing stakeholders effectively.
