Technical Services Manager – Marine Facilities

Job Overview

We seek an experienced Technical Services Manager specialized in Marine Facilities to lead technical service delivery and ensure regulatory compliance across a diverse, complex facilities environment. This leadership role emphasizes direct involvement and robust engineering knowledge, primarily focusing on electrical and mechanical building systems rather than traditional facilities management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to a team of technical inspectors responsible for overseeing engineering systems and maintenance operations.
• Serve as the principal technical liaison for the client, offering expert guidance and ensuring prompt resolution of technical challenges.
• Manage inspection, testing, and compliance activities for electrical, mechanical, and related building infrastructure systems.
• Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) adheres strictly to SFG20 standards and complies with legal regulations.
• Oversee water system compliance, including management of water storage tanks, water quality assurance, regular testing, inspections, and relevant regulatory adherence such as Legionella/L8 where applicable.
• Evaluate maintenance records, inspection outcomes, and technical documents, implementing necessary remedial actions.
• Monitor contractor work quality and safety to guarantee efficient and high-standard engineering execution.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and technical evaluations to confirm conformity with contractual, statutory, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
• Support asset lifecycle planning, perform technical risk assessments, and promote continuous service improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, HSE, and project teams to maintain continuous service standards and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Comprehensive technical expertise across facilities management engineering fields, with pronounced strength in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated experience in senior technical or engineering management positions within multifaceted facility or infrastructure settings.
• In-depth knowledge of SFG20 planned maintenance protocols.
• Proven skills managing water systems including inspection of water tanks, quality control, and testing procedures.
• Experience in marine, port, naval, or maritime infrastructure environments is strongly preferred.
