About NVIDIA and the Role
NVIDIA is a pioneering company in Artificial Intelligence (AI), High-Performance Computing (HPC), Gaming, and Autonomous Technologies. Their Operations team is pivotal in backing manufacturing efforts and ensuring timely delivery of NVIDIA GPU and SoC products globally.
This position seeks an enthusiastic and innovative engineer who thrives on tackling technical challenges and fostering ongoing enhancements in System-Level Test (SLT) operations. The role involves working with avant-garde products, supporting production ramp-ups and new product launches, thereby directly influencing manufacturing quality and operational efficiency in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for all SLT New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing and engineering activities on the production floor, from initial product bring-up through mass production.
- Design, develop, and enhance automated test systems and thermal management solutions specifically for System-Level Testing.
- Handle setup, hardware configuration, qualification, and maintenance of test stations for both NPI and production phases.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors to design, develop, and validate test equipment.
- Plan and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to diagnose root causes and solve production challenges.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to boost yield and enhance productivity metrics.
- Deliver frontline engineering support in production operations, addressing and troubleshooting test-related issues promptly.
- Develop and sustain test software and tools used for system-level and chip-level debugging, validation, and failure analysis.
- Utilize the latest AI technologies to optimize testing processes, automate workflows, improve data analytics, and drive quality improvements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of five years experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing sectors.
- Strong expertise in ATC thermal solutions as well as test hardware and software development is highly desirable.
- Proficient with Linux shell scripting, Python, SQL, and AI tools for automation and data analytics.
- Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills across hardware, software, and testing environments in manufacturing.
- Experience with System-Level Test (SLT), New Product Introduction (NPI), and high-volume production test operations preferred.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and communication skills to collaborate across functions effectively.
- Experience with Allegro or similar schematic capture and PCB design software is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Creo or equivalent mechanical CAD programs for creating engineering drawings and fixture designs is a plus.
Distinguishing Attributes
- Strong combined hardware and software development and debugging competencies.
- Exceptional problem-solving aptitude and analytic skills.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing workflows and automation technologies.
- Demonstrated engineering proficiency through hands-on experience.
- Resilience and ability to perform effectively under pressure in production settings.
