UX Designer

About the Role

Accruent is seeking a skilled UX Designer to join their established design team based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The successful candidate will take charge of multiple projects, serving as a user advocate and crafting accessible, intuitive interfaces that impact thousands of users and enterprises globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product, Engineering, and QA teams to deeply understand product demands and prioritize design needs.
• Manage and deliver on assigned projects end-to-end, including gathering requirements and testing the deployed designs.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and Marketers to identify challenges, define goals, conduct user studies, design interactions, and launch new features.
• Handle customer-oriented projects within tight deadlines while maintaining organized research and deliverables.
• Execute user and expert research to detect and resolve usability problems and improve design patterns.
• Create complex user flows that satisfy user and business objectives while ensuring feasible implementation.
• Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Produce high-fidelity prototypes and UI designs ready for engineering implementation.
• Promote prioritization of design-centric enhancements across the company and advocate UX best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and techniques in UI/UX design.

Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' professional experience in UX design with a robust portfolio demonstrating design work.
• Proficiency in research, usability testing, documentation, and collaborating with engineering teams.
• Solid grasp and articulation of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience designing new features within an established organizational design framework.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional teamwork abilities.
• Track record of managing stakeholders effectively and employing visual storytelling techniques.
• Adept at thriving in rapidly evolving, high-paced environments.
• A commitment to continuous learning and applying emerging knowledge.
