About the Role
Lucky Venues is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to spearhead the launch and oversee the operations of Lucky Neighbour, a premier 200-seat Cantonese restaurant scheduled to open in November 2026 at Norwest Quarter, Sydney. This senior leadership position demands an organised, hands-on individual capable of cultivating a robust team and instilling a strong service culture from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of the restaurant team.
- Oversee all pre-opening activities to ensure readiness for launch.
- Exemplify leadership with a visible and active presence on the floor.
- Ensure excellent standards in food, beverage, service, and overall guest experience.
- Manage labor, costs, staff scheduling, and daily venue operations.
- Foster a positive, professional, and accountable workplace atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, operations personnel, and senior management.
- Identify operational challenges and apply practical solutions.
- Focus on driving revenue, enhancing team performance, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience managing large or high-volume restaurants.
- Strong expertise in food, beverage, and service delivery.
- Proven skills in recruiting, team building, and staff development within hospitality.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proactive, hands-on leadership approach.
