WA Dispatch Coordinator

About the Position

This role is based in Perth and requires full-time commitment, five days a week, on a 12-month contract basis with no option for remote work. You will be an integral part of a dynamic Dispatch & Fulfilment team responsible for managing the distribution of bulk and packaged lubricants throughout Western Australia and across Australia. The position involves close collaboration with customers, carriers, customer service teams, and warehouse operators to ensure efficient scheduling, handling delivery exceptions, processing returns, and coordinating transportation. The objective is to sustain smooth operations, deliver excellent customer service, and swiftly resolve issues through proactive communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate urgent customer deliveries in partnership with sales teams, warehouses, and transport providers.
• Manage bulk order logistics to improve transport cost efficiency and optimize delivery schedules.
• Handle returns, delivery exceptions, and rerouting of products to achieve service KPI targets.
• Deliver prompt customer support and effectively resolve service-related issues.
• Keep accurate documentation while adhering to health, safety, security, environmental (HSSE), quality, and environmental protocols.
• Report any incidents concerning safety, security, environmental, or quality matters as required.
• Assist with general dispatch, fulfillment, and customer service tasks when necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of experience in customer service, dispatch, warehousing, or logistics environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse and dispatch operations.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with relevant systems.
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and adaptability to changing job requirements.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and fatigue management principles.
• Experience with JDE software is a beneficial asset.
