About the Internship
AlphaCelium is a company specializing in educational technology and business services, developing pioneering educational products, AI-driven solutions, and digital materials tailored for schools and education providers. Our main client, Schoolola Tutoring, operates a rapidly expanding STEM and tutoring franchise in Australia, delivering comprehensive courses in Mathematics, English, STEM, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence to primary and high school students.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Electronics Engineering & STEM Education Intern who is passionate about electronics, robotics, artificial intelligence, content creation, and teaching. This internship presents an opportunity to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and create stimulating STEM educational content tailored for primary and secondary school audiences.
- Develop interactive, practical learning tools centered on electronics, robotics, programming, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, AI, and engineering principles.
- Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of electronic circuits, embedded systems, and STEM learning kits.
- Build and evaluate prototypes utilizing Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensors, and other embedded hardware platforms.
- Produce comprehensive lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, project manuals, assessments, and instructional materials.
- Support curriculum development for Mathematics and English alongside STEM content as needed.
- Leverage AI-based tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and similar platforms for lesson planning, content creation, programming, research, and documentation tasks.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering department to resolve hardware issues and enhance STEM products and educational tools.
- Investigate emerging technologies, educational trends, and industry standards to continually improve the STEM curriculum and student engagement.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, design specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals for educational products.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams using clear verbal and written English.
- Contribute to a variety of projects within AlphaCelium's client network involving STEM curriculum development, educational content creation, and tech-driven initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be available for a work-from-home internship starting between July 28, 2026, and September 1, 2026.
- Commitment to a full 6-month internship duration is required.
- Applicants should possess relevant interests and skills related to electronics, STEM education, and content development.
- Specifically welcoming women aiming to start or restart their careers.
- Preferably pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Skills and Qualifications
- Practical experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensors, circuit design, and embedded systems is essential.
- Proficiency in AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot or equivalent for programming, research, and content development.
- Basic understanding of PCB design, soldering, Python, and C/C++ programming languages is preferred.
- Strong command of written and spoken English communication skills.
- Creativity, excellent problem-solving capabilities, good organizational skills, and teamwork orientation.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young students in STEM.
