Role Overview
As an AI Product Engineer, you will be a product-focused software engineer passionate about delivering excellent user experiences and integrating AI deeply into your development processes. The primary responsibility is to develop and deploy new product features while also handling production issues swiftly. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to innovate user experiences, ensure high product quality, and iterate rapidly within a fast-paced startup setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and release complete product features with a focus on building new functionalities.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve production problems, prioritizing based on user impact.
- Collaborate intimately with Product teams to transform concepts into launched experiences, contributing to product strategy and design decisions.
- Leverage AI tools extensively throughout development, debugging, prototyping, and improvement cycles.
- Operate fluidly across front-end and back-end development to enhance speed, usability, and product quality.
- Drive faster product delivery through strong execution, ownership, and a product-oriented engineering approach.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years in software, product, or full-stack engineering roles centered on product development.
- Demonstrated strong product intuition with dedication to creating user-facing features.
- Deep familiarity with contemporary AI coding tools and continuous exploration of emerging AI workflows.
- Strong sense of ownership and capability to manage tasks from inception through delivery.
- Experience independently building side projects or innovating beyond formal job duties.
- Comfortable working across both frontend and backend technologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.
Preferred Attributes
- Background in developing mobile-centric consumer applications.
- Proficiency with Next.js framework and Python programming language.
- Prior experience at early-stage, high-growth, or top-tier VC-backed startups.
- Active participation in open-source communities is advantageous.
- Educational background in Computer Science is a plus.
- Collaborative experience with Product, Design teams, or founders influencing user-facing products.
