Analyst / Senior Analyst - Financial Modelling

About the Role

ModaX Consulting is seeking multiple candidates for the positions of Analyst and Senior Analyst specializing in financial modelling. Located in Adelaide, these full-time roles involve collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver impactful financial models that support commercial and policy strategies. The successful applicants will also contribute to both client service delivery and corporate growth, playing a pivotal role in developing and expanding our modelling capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create customized financial models for various client needs including budgeting, forecasting, valuation, pricing, and cost allocation.
• Effectively communicate with clients and team members to capture project requirements, deliver presentations, and maintain alignment throughout engagements.
• Participate in model and analytical output reviews to assure logical soundness, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
• Assist in drafting business proposals and support other business development initiatives.
• Contribute to ongoing enhancements of internal methodologies, delivery templates, and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.

Candidate Profile

• For Analyst level: 1 to 3 years of experience in financial modelling, consulting, or related fields.
• For Senior Analyst level: 3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Capability to prioritize and deliver tasks effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Strong enthusiasm for financial modelling, forecasting, and the application of data-driven insight to influence decision-making.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex concepts.
• Professional and proactive team player with a robust work ethic.
• Flexibility to work onsite at client sites as necessary and willingness to relocate to Adelaide if currently living elsewhere in Australia.

Preferred Skills and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, including building and auditing financial models.
• Experience in consulting or client-oriented roles is advantageous.
• Familiarity with automation and data analysis tools such as VBA, Python, or SAS is a plus.
