Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Architectural Consultant based in London to collaborate closely with clients and interdisciplinary teams in defining building types, styles, budget constraints, and landscaping needs. The consultant will engage in thorough analysis of proposed sites, factoring in elements like drainage, soil, vegetation, and geological formations to integrate designs harmoniously with the environment.

Key Duties

• Work collaboratively with clients and professionals to establish project specifics including building style, cost parameters, and landscaping requirements.
• Conduct site evaluations focusing on conditions such as drainage, soil quality, trees, and rock formations that might affect design and construction.
• Interpret site survey data to guide clients on development and construction nuances, ensuring designs align effectively with the surrounding context.
• Create detailed scaled drawings and construction specifications compliant with local planning and building codes.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive plans and documentation required for planning permissions.
• Monitor construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved designs and resolving any construction challenges on-site.

Candidate Profile

• Background in Architecture or RIBA accreditation, especially with experience handling residential projects.
• Strong familiarity with UK planning frameworks and Building Regulations.
• Skilled in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills with a focus on client interaction.
• Possession of a valid full UK driving licence to facilitate site visits.
