Role Overview
This position requires skilled assembly of components into finished medical devices, conforming to strict regulatory and company standards in a clean room manufacturing environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate various advanced tools and equipment across multiple workstations to assemble medical devices accurately and efficiently by following work orders and technical drawings utilizing computer systems for navigation and data entry.
- Strictly adhere to established standard operating procedures and work instructions, meticulously recording traceable data on device history records and inputting information into manufacturing data systems.
- Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior staff, supervise line performance, and demonstrate correct procedures in the lead's absence.
- Perform line clearance duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas at shift start and between work orders, ensuring readiness of all required components and tools.
- Conduct self-inspection and visually review colleagues' work using magnification tools, providing constructive feedback and escalating equipment or process issues to supervisors for resolution.
- Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the work area.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of four years relevant prior experience in assembly roles.
- Secondary education completed; prior experience in medical device assembly is advantageous.
Additional Competencies
- Strong communication skills in English including reading, writing, and speaking, along with basic numerical literacy.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to Environmental Health and Safety standards and quality requirements within a clean room setting.
- Capability to absorb and apply training materials for new and complex work procedures with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented with ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors while accepting and giving work-related feedback.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to maintain continuous manufacturing operations.
- Strict adherence to company protocols including health, safety, and environmental regulations to prevent workplace injuries and environmental harm.
