Job Summary
This role involves key responsibility for supporting Information Security solutions by providing first and second level technical assistance and managing technologies designed to secure the bank against cyber threats. The role acts as the main contact for user escalations related to security technologies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Encourage cost efficiency and productivity to optimize benefits and reduce waste, adhering to delegated authority and supporting KPIs aligned with Cyber Security Technologies & Services.
- Deliver frontline support for key security technologies consistent with organizational goals and processes, supporting incident, problem, change, and configuration management best practices.
- Assist users with installation and troubleshooting of security products and review change requests to security controls such as firewall modifications.
- Respond promptly to audit, compliance, and risk inquiries, maintaining service level agreements to enhance response and resolution times.
- Contribute to designing and implementing QNB's information security programs and standards, analyzing impacts of new technologies on security posture.
- Ensure compliance with audits and regulatory requirements by addressing any findings or gaps promptly.
- Develop and conduct security education and training within the team and across operational units, while pursuing continuous personal professional growth.
- Adhere to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance mandates, including policies for AML, data protection, fraud control, whistleblowing, and conflict of interest under the Three Lines of Defence framework.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and high professional standards to protect sensitive data and uphold QNB's reputation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management related to QNB activities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields is required.
- Minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in information security engineering, preferably in a major international bank or large corporate environment.
- Mandatory professional certification: CISSP.
- Required security engineering certifications in Microsoft operating systems (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) or Linux (e.g., RHCP).
