Role Summary

The Associate Data Analyst is an early-career position in the Operations Department analytics team. In this role, you will assist with internal and external reporting, data preparation, basic analysis, and dashboard maintenance. Your work will support areas such as Sourcing, Member Engagement, Finance, and other teams, with close guidance from senior analysts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a range of analytics activities as business needs evolve, including internal operational analysis and member-facing reporting.
  • Collect, organize, clean, and validate data from internal and external sources, including procurement and financial systems.
  • Perform entry-level quantitative analysis such as descriptive statistics and trend spotting, then present findings through standard reports and charts.
  • Assist with sourcing and procurement analytics work, including spend reviews, cost baselines, supplier usage reports, institutional pricing checks, and strategic spend analysis.
  • Update predefined models, prepare data inputs, and help develop insights for senior analysts and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain and improve dashboards and data products by refreshing data and making controlled enhancements using certified sources.
  • Work with teams across Sourcing, Member Engagement, Finance, and other functions to understand their data needs and deliver accurate outputs.
  • Carry out routine data quality checks and help manage documentation, data sources, and process improvements.
  • Use and build skills in advanced Excel, SQL, Python, and related analytics tools, including basic automation or AI-assisted workflows where appropriate.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for data, analysis, and visualizations in a timely and organized manner.
  • Take part in training, mentorship, and feedback sessions to strengthen technical and communication skills and prepare for advancement.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations/Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or Engineering, or an equivalent mix of education and experience, is expected.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, business analytics, internships, full-time work, or substantial academic projects.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis features.
  • Working familiarity with SQL and Python for querying, data manipulation, and basic analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret data accurately.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and explaining findings.
