Key Responsibilities

• Advance engineering practices including continuous integration/deployment, automated testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Design and implement advanced, workflow-oriented user interfaces using TypeScript and React.
• Enhance application performance, maintainability, and architectural uniformity.
• Engage proactively with cross-functional teams to deliver essential business improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient with TypeScript and React for frontend development.
• Experienced in developing and maintaining tools for TypeScript projects, such as build systems and testing frameworks.
• Skilled in creating large-scale, production-level frontend applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UI architecture, state management, and optimization techniques.
• User experience design expertise, particularly in simplifying complex real-time data for user productivity.
• Ownership of SaaS product components including monitoring and incident management.
• Familiar with software engineering tools like git, unit and integration testing frameworks, and mocking tools.
• Strong analytical skills and software design capabilities, emphasizing well-tested and maintainable code.
• Adept at building positive relationships with stakeholders and user communities.

Desirable Qualifications

• Familiar with Visual Regression Testing and Unit Testing practices.
• Knowledge of functional programming paradigms, such as RxJS.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and WebSocket communications.
• Understanding of financial markets and related industry workflows.

Compensation & Benefits (Chicago, IL)

The salary range is USD 120,000 to USD 148,000 annually. Employees may also receive an annual discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits including healthcare, leave, and retirement plans. Compensation aligns with BlackRock’s pay-for-performance philosophy and varies by role, location, department, and individual performance.

Work Model
