Role Overview and Impact

In this capacity, you will be instrumental in establishing a high-performance enterprise data infrastructure and championing a results-oriented strategy centered on delivering impactful data products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders and undertake comprehensive design of solutions across the Data Services Group offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with business users, data vendors, and engineers to implement and maintain data solutions that conform to data governance and architecture standards.
  • Develop testing plans and conduct thorough end-to-end user acceptance testing for system and data enhancements.
  • Oversee operational aspects of data product management including monitoring data delivery, addressing incidents, and providing advisory support to users.
  • Establish scalable data operation processes covering the complete data lifecycle from registration through decommissioning.
  • Design metrics to evaluate and ensure data quality and integrity, especially for market data.
  • Continuously refine data operations by analyzing operational data such as SLAs and team efficiency, driving process improvements for operational excellence.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external data providers and vendors to ensure ongoing support and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Degree from a recognized tertiary institution with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in data management, finance, or asset management; at least 3 years involve hands-on roles in data management, analytics, or business analysis.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience managing data warehouses, developing data models, and using data management tools like Oracle, Snowflake, Informatica, Denodo; proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Additional knowledge of Excel formulas/macros or programming in Python is an advantage.
  • Good grasp of data management principles, controls, and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders for solution design and development.
