Job Overview

An AutoCAD Draftsman plays a crucial role in converting engineering and architectural ideas into exact and comprehensive technical drawings, including blueprints. This position involves working closely with project managers and design teams to create accurate 2D and 3D models, continuously revising drafts as per feedback, and ensuring full compliance with safety standards and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Transforming sketches, verbal instructions, and on-site measurements into precise 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings.
• Cooperating with architects, engineers, and project leaders to confirm design measurements, materials, and structural necessities.
• Modifying and updating existing designs to reflect changes from ongoing projects, site conditions, or client input.
• Conducting thorough reviews of technical drawings to eliminate errors and adhere strictly to local regulations, engineering standards, and structural codes.
• Maintaining organized records of drawing files, revisions, and project documentation for version tracking.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of 3D modeling, BIM methodologies, and familiarity with other CAD software such as SolidWorks or Revit would be advantageous.
• Deep understanding of drafting standards, geometric dimensioning, precise calculations, and manufacturing or construction workflows.
• Strong spatial reasoning abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills to discuss design limitations or modifications clearly.
