Business Intelligence Developer, Google Cloud

Role Overview

This position as a Business Intelligence Developer within the PACE organization at Google Cloud centers on enabling data-driven decision making. The role involves architecting and implementing data infrastructure on platforms such as BigQuery and the broader Data Lake ecosystem. Utilizing sophisticated SQL techniques, the developer will create scalable analytical models and user-friendly dashboards to transform intricate data sets into actionable insights that support leadership and field teams in understanding business performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, test, and maintain AI-driven agents that complement existing data pipelines, enhancing the production and dissemination of business intelligence.
• Design and develop comprehensive data pipelines, data warehouses, and complex SQL scripts that support scalable analytics and intuitive dashboard solutions.
• Construct data models, data marts, and automated reports that convert complex data into clear business insights, empowering both leadership and operational teams.
• Manage BI initiatives from ideation through implementation, delivering high-quality insights to stimulate Cloud service usage and foster business expansion.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to interpret strategic requirements into KPI frameworks that monitor revenue, consumption metrics, and Go-To-Market strategies effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least seven years’ experience in data modeling, developing datasets, or creating data visualizations.
• Proficiency using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI for dashboard and visualization creation.
• Strong background in designing and building data structures, pipelines, marts, or warehouses.
• Experience building reporting dashboards and composing SQL queries.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum two years of cross-functional experience partnering with business units like sales operations, marketing, business operations, or consulting.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and data modeling principles.
• Track record of translating business needs into actionable BI solutions.
• Experience utilizing scripting languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, or Go for tasks involving data manipulation, analysis, and automation.

Additional Information

Applicants will have the opportunity to specify their preferred work location between Hyderabad, Telangana, and Bengaluru, Karnataka.
