Role Overview
The position is for a full-time, on-site CCTV Engineer based in Doha, Qatar. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining IP-based CCTV systems and associated security hardware across retail, commercial, and government facilities. Daily duties involve conducting site surveys, designing camera layouts, cabling installation and termination, integrating CCTV with alarm and access systems, and thorough testing and troubleshooting. The engineer will monitor system functionality, diagnose issues, upgrade or replace hardware and software as necessary, and ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations.
The role requires close collaboration with project managers, security consultants, and client stakeholders. Additionally, the engineer will create technical documentation and provide training and ongoing support to end users.
Qualifications
- Capable of working on site including fieldwork and safe handling of equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
- Technical degree in electronics, electrical engineering, IT, or similar fields; professional certifications in CCTV or security systems preferred.
