Construction Purchase Manager

Job Summary

This role focuses on managing the end-to-end purchase cycle for construction work, including sourcing, price negotiation, procurement planning, and making sure all required materials and equipment arrive on time. The position covers construction materials, MEP items, finishing materials, machinery, and other equipment needed for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the buying cycle for construction projects so that materials and services are delivered as scheduled.
• Create and apply procurement approaches that reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other key partners to support seamless project delivery.
• Study market conditions and identify emerging trends and business opportunities through research and analysis.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure purchasing activities support overall project targets.
• Follow company procedures, legal requirements, and relevant industry norms in all procurement activities.

Requirements

• Prior experience in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally within the construction sector.
• Good understanding of purchasing principles, practices, and compliance requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication, along with solid negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Well-developed analytical ability, problem-solving mindset, and close attention to detail.
• Exposure to procurement tools or software will be considered an advantage.
