Role Overview
The Corporate Finance Intern position offers a flexible schedule ranging from part-time to full-time in a hybrid work setting located in the New York City Metropolitan area, allowing for partial remote work. The role primarily supports financial modeling, valuation assessments, and market research pertinent to alternative assets and SMEs. Responsibilities include constructing and updating detailed financial models, examining financial statements, supporting due diligence activities, and compiling data-centric reports for both investment and consulting assignments. The position also requires preparing presentations for internal and client discussions, monitoring key performance indicators, and collaborating with senior personnel to assess transactions and provide strategic advice. This opportunity enables hands-on exposure to corporate finance, asset management, and venture capital advisory in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, capable of interpreting financial documents and corporate deal structures.
- Expertise in Financial Modeling and Analysis, including the creation of forecasts, valuations, and scenario planning.
- Strong analytical ability with meticulous attention to detail and skill in synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with presentation software such as PowerPoint.
- Currently enrolled in or having recently completed a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Self-driven, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a hybrid working environment.
- Keen interest in fintech, alternative investment classes, and venture capital; prior related internship or project experience is advantageous.
Compensation
The starting pay is $25 per hour, with additional bonus opportunities.
