Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence team. This hands-on position involves report creation, expanding data models, and supporting the ongoing reliability of an advanced production analytics platform that underpins company-wide reporting. The analyst will collaborate extensively with stakeholders across various departments such as operations, finance, dispatch, inventory, and vendor management to provide insightful reports that improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and set up alerting mechanisms spanning finance, operations, inventory, dispatch, and vendor management areas.
• Write and refine complex SQL queries on Snowflake to explore data, build models, and address business inquiries.
• Develop and optimize dbt models that standardize and harmonize data sourced from multiple ERP systems into a unified and comparable format.
• Arrange data scalability and accessibility to best support organizational needs for human and automated users.
• Resolve inconsistencies across source-system definitions (e.g., chart of accounts, item catalogs, customer and vendor information, transaction classifications) to enable accurate cross-entity comparisons.
• Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements, understand operational contexts, and translate those into dependable reporting solutions.
• Identify and communicate insights, data anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements proactively.
• Oversee the health of data pipelines and integrations (including Fivetran connectors, dbt runs, Power BI refresh cycles), and troubleshoot data quality or pipeline disruptions.
• Fulfill ad hoc data analysis requests supporting critical business decisions and initiatives.
• Document data models, terminology, and reporting logic thoroughly to promote knowledge sharing and prevent information silos.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of two years professional experience as a data analyst, analytics engineer, or BI developer.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including CTEs, window functions, indexing strategies, stored procedures, performance optimization, and debugging large complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and effective scalable data architecture.
• Expertise in Power BI, encompassing DAX formula language, data modeling techniques, calculation groups, alerting setups integrated with Power Apps, performance enhancements, row-level security, and impactful report design.
• Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or OneLake and with modern ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) methodologies.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships with stakeholders.
• High degree of self-motivation and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
• Innovative use of AI tools to augment analytics-related tasks including developing models, authoring DAX, documenting processes, reviewing code, and enhancing communication with stakeholders.
