Overview
We are looking for a proactive Data Analytics Product Owner to take complete ownership of EPAM Demand Analytics products. In this position, you will collaborate with EPAM Workforce Planning and Management leaders to translate business challenges into clear and feasible requirements, guiding Data Product Analysts, BI Developers, and Engineers through defining, testing, and refining logic for each analytics solution. This role requires a fusion of product management expertise and deep analytical insight, ensuring metric definitions and decision processes are precise and that solutions provide tangible business value. Active involvement with the Scrum team and stakeholders throughout the delivery cycle is essential.
About the Project
This advanced people analytics platform offers senior management, resource managers, and business partners an in-depth understanding of team dynamics to facilitate informed decisions. Covering multiple domains such as Staffing, GDO Operations, and People Management, the project is executed by a robust team of over 60 data specialists including analysts, scientists, engineers, and product managers. Employees enjoy the flexibility of remote working from anywhere within Uzbekistan, or can work from the modern Tashkent office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the analytics product backlog by transforming business challenges into actionable backlog items for Demand Analytics, crafting user stories with acceptance criteria, breaking down scope collaboratively, and overseeing delivery to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Define the business meaning, logic, and calculation methods for every Demand Analytics metric, establish applicable business rules, identify users, and understand decision-making contexts. Handle edge cases and secure alignment with stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, including WPM leaders and Staffing Partners, to clarify requirements, refine vague requests, and translate business questions into practical analytical outputs.
- Collaborate daily with delivery teams comprising Data Product Analysts, BI Developers, and Engineers to refine solutions, validate logic, clarify requirements promptly, and adapt as new insights emerge during delivery.
- Lead adoption initiatives through training, communication, and change management activities.
- Promote a data-product mindset by ensuring consistent metric and semantic definitions reused across all channels, focusing on product development rather than isolated reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Practical experience in product ownership including crafting user stories, defining acceptance criteria, maintaining a prioritized backlog, and working closely alongside cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams delivering data analytics products or projects.
- Ability to conceptualize business KPIs and metrics, translating them into precise calculations, decision frameworks, and clear requirements; skilled in validating assumptions and handling edge cases with both stakeholders and technical teams.
- Proven track record in data analytics projects, capable of interpreting business questions into analytics needs, collaborating with technical experts, and delivering actionable insights.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, comfortable with presentations to senior executives and bridging business-technical communication gaps.
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with analysts, BI developers, and engineers, engaging in requirements discussion, logic validation, priority settings, and release coordination.
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau sufficient to effectively contribute to discussions on dashboard features, user experience, and reporting demands.
Additional Preferred Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Staffing and Workforce Planning and Management domains, including key metrics and resource management decision-making.
- Skills in requirements engineering involving translation of business needs to technical specifications, including data freshness, granularity, and semantic details.
- Experience managing change, especially in introducing new tools, processes, or data products through training and effective communication.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Engage with driven peers to deliver groundbreaking solutions influencing global industry leaders.
- Flexible work settings including vibrant office spaces or remote work from home.
- Possibility to work abroad for up to two months annually.
- Relocation chances across our offices in more than 55 countries worldwide.
- Participation in corporate social events enhancing team bonding.

- Access to professional certifications such as GCP, Azure, and AWS along with unlimited learning resources and free English lessons with certified instructors.
- Discounts on language courses, including offline Uzbek classes.
- Financial incentives through referral bonuses.
- Comprehensive medical and family care benefits.
- Four discretionary trust days annually allowing sick leave without medical certificates.
- Subsidies for fitness, dance, and sports activities, with an additional benefits package covering various stores and services.
