Role Overview

The Cloud Program Manager (CPM) will lead the execution of multiple Google Cloud projects serving top-tier enterprise and public sector clients. This role is based in Ahmedabad or Mumbai, India, requiring full-time commitment with immediate joining. The manager drives project delivery from sales handover through planning, resource allocation, scheduling, financial oversight, and closure, ensuring adherence to contract terms and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage various Google Cloud initiatives across multiple teams for high-profile clients.
• Coordinate transition from sales engagement to active project phases, including resource and schedule planning and budget management.
• Monitor project progress, provide regular status updates, and proactively manage risks and issues to meet deadlines.
• Validate the quality of deliverables from both Google and partner teams in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Control project scope by clarifying and prioritizing requirements aligned with work to be completed by Google Cloud Professional Services or partners.
• Maintain updated project information systems for accurate resource and financial forecasting.
• Conduct formal project closure activities, including retrospectives for continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholders and negotiate effectively with internal teams, clients, and partners.
• Ensure diligent project management hygiene across all internal tools such as CRM and financial systems.

Required Qualifications

• Certification in Google Cloud Digital Leader (CDL) or Google AI Leader (GAIL).
• Minimum 9 years of experience leading digital transformation projects within large enterprises and public sector organizations.
• Extensive background in managing cloud infrastructure, application modernization, and data analytics projects.
• Proven track record with at least 5 years in cloud migration project delivery.
• Strong expertise in agile, waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience managing partners and global delivery centers for over 5 years.
• Skilled in working with diverse, globally distributed teams and collaborating with partners.
• Capability to organize and lead project kickoff sessions effectively.
• Professional experience in program management, client services, or management consultancy.
• Familiarity with project management information systems such as Jira, Asana, or SmartSheet.
• Hands-on experience managing multiple concurrent projects with reporting and financial tracking responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Office 365 or Google Workspace tools.
• Willingness and ability to work from Google's Customer Office during weekdays as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a Cloud Architect from any major provider.
• MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical area.
• Qualifications such as SCRUM Master or SAFe certifications.
• Experience making data-driven decisions and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Cloud market and competitive landscape.
• Adaptability to rapidly learn new Cloud technologies, methodologies, and IT solutions.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, multitask, and maintain organizational discipline.
