About The Role

Join the Suspension, Steering & Brakes (SSB) team as a Design Engineer, where you will engage with projects spanning the full engineering lifecycle from initial concept through to detailed design. You will work collaboratively with R&D and production teams during build, testing, and fault-resolution stages. Your contributions will influence the performance, reliability, and success of advanced automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs for various vehicle components and structural elements.
  • Create lightweight, structurally efficient, and cost-effective solutions balancing mass, stiffness, and performance.
  • Prepare supporting calculations related to structural and functional aspects.
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including aerodynamics, vehicle science, electronics, chassis, stress, transmission, R&D, production, and external suppliers.
  • Contribute to writing clear technical procedures and system specifications.
  • Assist in fault investigations and help implement rapid, robust corrective measures.
  • Support drawing and assembly verification processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, working alongside senior engineers to enhance design efficiency within the team.
  • Support activities related to project allocation, supplier interactions, and user acceptance as directed.
